Cohen said, ‘Care for others.’

I asked Cohen, a newly-celebrated 10-year-old, “What’s the most important thing you’ve learned so far?”

He thought for a few seconds and responded, “Care for others.”

Well, I hadn’t expected a sermon, but was reminded of Jesus’ singular message of “Love one another,” giving this ‘Grandma’ cause for a lot less talking and a lot more behaving.

‘Being a judge is interesting.’

14 August 1980

Excerpt from letter of Daniel L Hawkley to his sister, Judy.

“Being a judge is interesting. I have completed my first trial and have another in progress and a couple more on my docket for August. It is different to go into the courtroom and come out neither a winner or a loser. It is different too, to have every(one) stand when one enters or leaves the courtroom, not to mention the general deference with which one is treated as judge. It would sure be easy to let it all go to one’s head, but I try to remember it’s the robe and the position it symbolizes that commands the respect.”

Absent the Constitution, America falls.

Joe Biden issued a statement for Americans to go door to door throughout our nation urging CoVid vaccinations. Say what? Who will administer and pay for this? What will consequences be for those who choose not to commit, follow through or provide proof of vaccination? Will responses, names, dates and addresses be recorded for “future reference?”

Unbelievable.
